Lockdown Projects

During lockdown 2020 it has been challenging for everyone to be creative and productive but somehow I found ways to keep proactive whilst supporting various charities. Listed below are some of the things I got up to creatively aside from shaving my head and baking...

Stand by Me A Virtual Cabaret

I was honoured to take part in Llanelli Youth Theatre's virtual Cabaret in aid of Hywel Dda Health Charities. I performed in some company numbers and shared my song Smile from Wondertown.

Leave On a Light

I was part of the Rose Bruford Student and Alumni community choir for 'Leave on a Light' written and produced by my brilliant friend Christian Powlesland to raise money for Acting for Others and various NHS Charities at the start of the Covid-19 outbreak. Please check out Christian and all the brilliant work he does.

So Many Things

As an extension to the work we were developing with 10 Minute Musicals in February, my collaborator Emily Garside and I worked with Leeway Productions and a group of MA Musical Theatre students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on redeveloping the opening number of our piece. This will be shared very soon on Leeway Productions online platforms.

Busk It! An Online Season of Workshops, Chat and Performances!

With The Bohemians I produced and curated an online season of work from a podcast, weekly performances and Instagram Live workshops to celebrating actor-musicians and creatives on Twitter. See all the work from Busk It here: www.thebohemianstheatre.com/buskit

I was featured on 'Your Platform' by Sherman Cymru as a means of celebrating Welsh artists.

The Boho Variety Show

As a finale to Busk It! We produced a variety show in aid of the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. Featuring performances from Kenny Cumino, Roddy Lynch, Transfer Productions, friends and company members of The Bohemians Theatre Company.

Book, Music and Lyrics

I joined Book, Music and Lyrics musical theatre writing workshop in March as a first year composer. The course has carried on online during lockdown and I hope to share some of the work later this year as part of a portfolio I'm building.

In Memory of Rhodri Hughes

I dedicate all the work I've been doing creatively in lockdown to the memory of my friend Rhodri Hughes who passed away in May 2020.
